Before we talk about how to do this challenge, I want to be clear about the heart behind it.

I don’t want the Daily Text Challenge to feel like something you have to add on top of everything else you already carry in life. Many of us already have full days, full minds, and full hearts. Adding one more thing can quickly turn something meaningful into something heavy.

That is not the intention behind this challenge.

This is a creative challenge. It is meant to be approached slowly and mindfully, with a notebook, pens, maybe some washi tape, and a quiet moment intentionally set aside to sit with Jehovah. It is not about rushing through the Daily Text or producing perfect pages. It is about creating space to pause, reflect, and be present with him.

Making Space Instead of Finding More Time

Rather than asking yourself, “How can I fit this in?” I want to gently suggest a different question:
“What can I remove or pause for one month to make space for time with Jehovah?”

Let’s say the challenge takes around 30 minutes a day, that time does not need to come from nowhere. It can come from something that already fills your day but does not always bring rest or peace.

Maybe for one month:

  • You scroll 30 minutes less.
  • You watch one less episode of your favourite show.
  • You put certain apps or habits on pause.
  • You choose quieter evenings over fuller ones.

That small exchange can open space for calm instead of pressure.

I’ve heard sisters say things like, “I didn’t realize how much space I already had once I stopped reaching for my phone first.”

And if it helps to not do the challenge alone, my Study Corner is there as a cosy place to share the journey and stay uplifted.

A Hands-On, Creative Way to Sit With Jehovah

This challenge is meant to be hands-on and creative. Sitting down with your notebook open, choosing pens you enjoy using, adding washi tape if that helps you slow down, and allowing yourself to linger with the Daily Text.

Some days you might write a few sentences as a prayer or reflection. Other days you might circle one word that stands out to you. Some days you may simply read the text, sit quietly with Jehovah, and close your notebook.

All of it counts.

Jehovah is not measuring how much you write or how decorated your page looks. He values the time you set aside for him and the attention you give.

A One-Month Invitation

Think of this challenge as a one-month experiment. Nothing permanent. Nothing extreme.

Just choosing, for a short season, to make space for quiet, creative time with Jehovah instead of filling every moment with noise.

If you approach the challenge this way, it will not feel like another responsibility added to your life. It can become a small, peaceful place where you meet with Jehovah each day.

You are not giving something up. You are choosing what matters most for this season. And even if your pages look messy or unfinished, Jehovah sees the intention behind every quiet moment you set aside for him.

So here’s a question to sit with before you start:
What could you gently pause this month so your journaling time with Jehovah has room to breathe?
