How to Print Pioneer Lip Balm Labels

One of my favourite things about handmade gifts is that even the simplest items can become something special. These printable Pioneer Lip Balm Labels, available in my Etsy shop, let you transform an ordinary lip balm into a thoughtful gift that’s perfect for Pioneer School, welcoming a new regular pioneer, or encouraging hard-working pioneer who have faithfully served Jehovah for many years.

To make printing as flexible as possible, the download includes 2 different label layouts. Both layouts can be printed on full-sheet sticker paper, or, if you already have compatible pre-cut label sheets, you can print directly onto those instead.

Before you begin, there’s one important thing to know. The pre-cut label sheets are designed to work with the specific label templates. If you use a different template (label size), the labels won’t line up correctly, even if the measurements appear very similar. Small differences in margins and spacing can affect the alignment across the entire sheet.

If you’re unsure which supplies to use, I recommend printing on a full-sheet sticker paper and cutting the labels by hand. It’s the easiest method and gives consistent results every time.

What’s Included?

Your download includes 2 label layouts:

• 3 × 3 inch layout (12 labels per sheet), which can be printed on the matching 3 × 3 inch label template.
• Lip balm label layout (12 labels per sheet), which can be printed on the matching lip balm label template.

Option 1: Print on Full-Sheet Sticker Paper (Recommended)

Simply print your preferred label layout onto a full-sheet printable sticker paper, cut the labels out with scissors, and wrap them around your lip balm tubes.

Since you’re cutting the labels yourself, you don’t have to worry about matching a label template or adjusting printer alignment. It’s a quick project that works with almost any home printer and is perfect if you’re making just a few gifts.

You’ll need:

• Full-sheet printable sticker paper
• A home printer
• Scissors
• Lip balms (0.15oz)

Whether you’re making 6 lip balms or 20, this method is straightforward and reliable.

Option 2: Print on a Pre-Cut Label Sheet

If you already own one of the compatible label sheets, you can print directly onto it instead.

Before printing on your actual sticker sheet, I recommend printing a test page on regular paper first. Hold it behind your label sheet against a window or another light source to make sure everything lines up correctly. This quick step can save both ink and label sheets.

Which Method Should You Choose?

Although both methods work well, I almost always recommend full-sheet sticker paper.

Pre-cut label sheets are usually sold in large quantities. If you’re only making a handful of gifts for Pioneer School or a few pioneers in your congregation, buying a large pack of specialised labels often isn’t necessary.

Full-sheet sticker paper is much more versatile. You can use it for these lip balm labels as well as many other printable projects throughout the year. It also eliminates the frustration of trying to match printer settings to pre-cut label templates.

Unless you already have the recommended label sheets, the full-sheet sticker paper method is the simplest and most practical choice.

Printing Tips

For the best results:

• Print at 100% (Actual Size) without scaling.
• Use your printer’s highest quality setting.
• Allow the ink to dry completely before cutting or applying the labels.
• Always print a test page before using a pre-cut label sheet.
• Make sure your label sheet matches the template recommended in the product description.
