A brand-new service year is almost here—a fresh page, a fresh notebook, and a fresh chance to see what Jehovah will help us accomplish. ✨

But here’s the thing: sometimes, we start the year with good intentions… only to feel a little stuck after a few weeks. That’s where a challenge can help! Not a heavy, overwhelming one—but a gentle, encouraging guide that gives you simple prompts to try, one step at a time.

That’s exactly what the Ministry Momentum Challenge is about.

Why a Service Year Challenge?

Think of it as a way to:

  • Keep your ministry exciting and fresh
  • Strengthen your skills little by little
  • Encourage others (and feel encouraged in return)
  • Build habits that last all year long
  • Create a spiritual “scrapbook” of blessings along the way

This isn’t about doing everything at once. It’s about picking small, doable actions that add up to a stronger, happier service routine.

What’s Inside the Challenge?

I’ve gathered 35 prompts—organized into 6 categories—to help you get started:

  • Foundation (Starting Strong) – lay the groundwork for a fruitful year of ministry.
  • Encouragement & Connection – building up others.
  • Skill Building – sharpening ministry skills.
  • Practical Service Steps – put faith into action, one step at a time.
  • Reflection & Gratitude – look back to see how far Jehovah has carried you.
  • Flexibility & Prep – stay ready, whatever the weather.

A Peek at the Prompts

Here are just a few of the 35 simple ideas included in the challenge:

  • Set a spiritual goal for the year ahead
  • Encourage a younger publisher / pioneer with a little gift, tag, or bookmark—it doesn’t have to be big, just heartfelt.
  • Thank your field service overseer or a pioneer with a handwritten note of appreciation.
  • Offer a Bible study to someone you know—a neighbor, friend, or relative who’s shown interest.
  • Write one sentence of gratitude for the person who worked with you in service today.
  • Refresh your service bag—top up your pens, tracts/cards, a bottle of water, and don’t forget your smile. 😉

Each one is small, practical, and achievable. But when you start stringing them together, you’ll notice how they build up spiritual momentum.

How to Join the Challenge

  • Choose your style: You can do one prompt per day for a month, or treat it like a checklist to work through at your own pace.
  • Stay flexible: If you miss a day, no worries—just pick up where you left off.
  • Share your journey: Encourage a friend or partner to do it with you. Share what you’ve learned, what worked for you, and the blessings you’ve noticed.

A Year of Momentum

At the end of the challenge, you’ll have more than just completed prompts—you’ll have a stronger routine, deeper confidence, and a record of how Jehovah supported you in big and small ways. 💛

So grab your notebook, a cup of tea, and pick your first prompt. Let’s step into this new service year with joy, gratitude, and momentum!
