Have you ever reached the end of the day and felt like nothing special happened?
You made breakfast, took care of your responsibilities, answered messages, and somehow it was already bedtime. But think about that same day differently.
Maybe you enjoyed a quiet morning with a warm cup of tea. Someone sent you a thoughtful message. You noticed a beautiful sunset. Or you came across a scripture that gave you the encouragement you needed. All little things worth appreciating.
It makes me wonder: How many blessings do we experience every day without noticing them?
There’s More to Be Thankful For Than We Realize
I love the reminder at Psalm 103:2: “May I never forget all that he has done.”
Isn’t it interesting how easily we remember what went wrong during the day while overlooking what went right? One frustrating conversation can occupy our thoughts for hours, while several kind interactions barely get a second thought.
Gratitude journaling helps us slow down and recognize Jehovah’s goodness in everyday life. And we don’t need extraordinary experiences to find reasons to be thankful.
30 Little Things to Thank Jehovah For
I started making a list of everyday blessings and ended up with 100! Some are simple comforts, others are spiritual blessings, and a few are things we might not appreciate until they’re missing.
Here are 30 to get you started.
1. Everyday Blessings
- Waking up to another day of life.
- A warm cup of tea on a quiet morning.
- Having a comfortable place to sleep.
- Fresh air coming through an open window.
- The comfort of a familiar daily routine.
- A delicious meal made with simple ingredients.
- Clean water whenever we need it.
- A peaceful moment before a busy day begins.
- Having clothes that keep us warm.
- The ability to rest after a long day.

2. Jehovah’s Beautiful Creation
- Watching the sky change colours at sunset.
- Hearing birds singing outside the window.
- The beauty of changing seasons.
- Seeing flowers bloom after a long winter.
- The soothing sound of falling rain.
- Feeling sunshine on your face.
- Looking at the stars on a clear night.
- The refreshing smell of the forest.
- Watching butterflies move from flower to flower.
- The incredible variety of colours in nature.
3. Our Friendship With Jehovah
- Knowing Jehovah listens to our prayers.
- Being able to talk to Jehovah about anything.
- Having his Word available in our own language.
- Discovering something new during personal study.
- Finding comfort in a familiar scripture.
- Knowing Jehovah understands our limitations.
- Having the opportunity to draw closer to him.
- Receiving guidance when making difficult decisions.
- Knowing Jehovah notices our sincere efforts.
- Having a wonderful hope for the future.
I especially love number 24. Sometimes we read a familiar scripture and suddenly notice something we’ve never considered before. Those discoveries make personal study so rewarding.

And Then I Thought of 70 More!
As I continued making the list, I thought about the kindness of our brothers and sisters, moments of happiness, lessons we’ve learned, and unexpected encouragement on difficult days.
Eventually, I had 100 Little Things to Thank Jehovah For!
So I turned the complete list into three illustrated printable pages.

You’ll find all 100 ideas inside my Gratitude Bundle, along with scripture-based reflection pages, journaling prompts, gratitude bingo, worksheets, and stickers.
Print them for your gratitude journal, use them during personal study, or share a copy with a friend in your congregation.
A Little Gratitude Challenge
For the next 7 days, choose 1 thing you’re thankful for and spend a few minutes reflecting on it. You could write about it in your journal, mention it in your prayers, or share it with someone.
Here are three questions to help you get started:
- What am I thankful to Jehovah for today?
- Why does this blessing mean something to me?
- How can I show my appreciation?
If you enjoy creative journaling, add stickers, drawings, or colourful lettering to your gratitude page.
You could also invite a friend to join you and exchange one thing you’re grateful for each day. It’s a thoughtful activity to share with an elderly or homebound sister who might appreciate some encouragement.

One Last Thought
Before going to bed tonight, think of three things you appreciated about your day. Perhaps it was a conversation that made you smile, something beautiful you noticed outside, or a scripture that stayed with you.
You might discover more reasons to thank Jehovah than you expected.
