Most of us have good intentions when it comes to our spiritual routine. We want to read the Bible every day, keep up with the Daily Text, spend more time in prayer, or finally finish that Bible reading schedule we’ve been meaning to start.
Then life gets busy.
A full week quickly becomes a full month, and before we realize it, those habits begin to slip. Not because they aren’t important to us, but because building consistency is often harder than setting the goal in the first place.
That’s one reason I’ve always enjoyed using journals, printable worksheets, and other study tools. They don’t replace our relationship with Jehovah, but they can help us stay focused on the spiritual goals we’ve set for ourselves.
Recently, I had the opportunity to try something a little different.
JW Habits is an app created by a husband-and-wife team from Germany. They gave me a discount code to share with you if building consistent spiritual habits is one of your goals.
What Is JW Habits?
JW Habits is a habit-tracking app built around the spiritual activities many of us already want to be consistent with. Instead of tracking fitness goals or productivity tasks, it focuses on habits such as:
- Bible reading
- Daily Text
- Personal study
- Prayer
- Custom spiritual goals
You can create reminders, track your progress, and gradually build routines that become easier to maintain over time.
What I appreciate most is that the app was created specifically with Jehovah’s Witnesses in mind, so the features naturally support the kinds of goals many of us are already working toward.
A Feature That Makes It More Personal
Have you ever had one of those moments when you think, I need to remember this? Maybe it was an encouraging experience in the ministry, a meaningful comment at the meeting, or a thought that stood out during Watchtower study. The journaling section gives you a place to write it down while it’s still fresh in your mind.
Over time, those entries become a personal record of your spiritual journey. Looking back and seeing how Jehovah has answered prayers, strengthened you through challenges, or taught you valuable lessons can be incredibly encouraging.
I also liked the community feature. The app also lets you connect with friends who are using it. You can encourage one another and celebrate your progress together.
If you’re part of my Study Corner, you know how helpful a community can be. Being surrounded by friends who love personal study and Bible journaling, their enthusiasm is contagious. Sometimes all it takes is seeing someone share a meaningful thought or study insight to make you excited to open your Bible too.
This feature brings a similar idea into the app by allowing friends to encourage each other along the way.
Who I Think This App Is For
I think JW Habits could be a great fit if you:
- enjoy setting spiritual goals
- want to become more consistent with Bible reading, prayer, or personal study
- appreciate reminders that help you stay on track
- like tracking your progress over time
- enjoy recording experiences and reflecting on your spiritual growth
If you already use notebooks, journals, or printable study pages like I do, I don’t see this app as replacing those. Instead, I see it as another helpful tool that can work alongside your existing study routine.

Final Thoughts
No app can replace prayer, Bible reading, meditation, or our personal relationship with Jehovah.
But the right tools can make it easier to stay consistent with the goals we’ve set.
Whether that’s a notebook, a printable journal, or an app like JW Habits, the purpose is the same: helping us build routines that encourage us to spend more time with Jehovah and his Word.
If you’re looking for one place to track your Bible reading, Daily Text, personal study, prayer, and other spiritual goals, I think JW Habits is definitely worth taking a look at.
