Have you ever sat down with your Bible, notebook open, pen ready… and then paused?
Not because you don’t want to study. But because you don’t know where to begin.
Sometimes that pause ends with the Bible closing again. Or your phone being picked up instead. Not out of lack of interest, because the first step often feels harder than everything that comes after.
That moment is more common than we admit. And it often means you care deeply. You don’t want your study to feel rushed or mechanical. You want it to be meaningful.
Start With What’s Already There
If you truly have no idea where to begin your study, I suggest starting with the Daily Text.
You might say, “But I already read the Daily Text.” And that’s fair. Still, you may be surprised how much more there is to receive from it beyond a quick reading.
Here’s one simple way to go deeper:
- Read the entire chapter where the day’s scripture comes from.
- Notice if another verse in that chapter catches your attention.
- Let curiosity guide you. One verse can lead to another.
For example, a Daily Text about patience might lead you to notice how Jehovah views the way we wait, not just how long we endure. That single thought can become your study for the day.
Sometimes the Daily Text is not the destination. It’s the doorway.

You can also take one more step.
Look up the Watchtower article the Daily Text is taken from. Skim the headings first. You don’t have to read the whole article right away. Often, one heading will speak directly to what you’re facing right now. That heading can become your focus for the day.
That’s one peaceful way to begin.
The 3-Minute Questions That Changes Your Daily Text
This is where my Reflection pages come in.
They’re built around short questions that help the thought stick, so it doesn’t disappear by mid-morning.
These pages invite you to pause, reflect, and gently apply what you read to your own life.
There’s no long journaling. No pressure to write “the right thing.” Just a few minutes to notice what Jehovah may be teaching you today, and to carry that thought with you.
Study Corner: A Quiet Place to Begin
If you often find yourself stuck at the beginning, this is why I created Study Corner.
It’s a calm space filled with printable pages and prompts that help you begin without pressure. Whether you start with the Daily Text, a single verse, or a reflection page, everything is designed to support a slow, thoughtful connection with Jehovah.
No rushing. No guilt. Just a place to begin.
A Question to Sit With
When you don’t know where to begin your study, ask yourself:
What is already in front of me that Jehovah might be inviting me to slow down and notice today?
You don’t need a new plan. You just need a place to begin.
